Some OH SO Simple recipes for the holiday weekend!

This first one is my "go to" when I need something in about 30 minutes...quick to put together, easy enough to remember, and bakes in about 25 minutes.

Mr. Goodbars
2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. choc. chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
3 eggs
1 c. oil
Mix together first nine ingredients, then add eggs and oil in a well of the dry ingredients. Mix together and spread in a jelly roll pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and enjoy.
and for a great appetizer!!!

This next one ALWAYS gets kudos and requests for the recipe!  It is just plain YUMMY!
Pepper Jelly Dip
1 c. sharp cheddar, grated finely
1 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. chopped green onions, green tops included
Stir in enough mayonaisse to hold together ingredients and make a mound. Spread hot pepper jelly over the mound. Serve with Club crackers or wheat thins. Enjoy!

Have a fabulous weekend.....I'm thinking that there is the tiniest hint of fall in the air today.  Do you KNOW how happy that makes me?????

Yumm and Yum!!
I love that cookbook holder!
Just wanted you to know I recently became a consultant for Willow house too. Would love any suggestions or advice any time you want to offer any. Do you do parties often? is it a hobby or do you really make a living at it etc.I mainly want it as an option for things to feature on my blog and webstore from time to time but I love the product!

Love the cookbook stand by the way!!

I WANT Fall to come, that's for sure!!

So the Mr. Goodbars--those sound easy and like something my boys would really like! I'm going to have to try these out.

Well I was going to get off my duff and make the Mr. Goodbars Suzanne, they look perfect for a day like today but......the chocolate chip thief seems to have gotten the key to the house. Guess I'll have to wait until grocery day.

These recipes sound delicious. My sweet tooth thinks the Mr. Goodbars would really be good. I want to try those out real soon. I have never had the pepper jelly dip recipe, but it sounds really good too. I love anything with cheese. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

Okay, both of these recipes sound so good! I'm not cooking anything special today, but I will definitely keep these in mind for another time!

Oh yum! You are really tempting me, however, I have a chocolate/cherry cake sitting on my counter ready for my daughter's family birthday party in a little bit! Love it all, don't you? ;)

I too love that cookbook holder!
