Friday Fives!

Friday Fives are so fun, because they tell us more about one another, or sometimes just assist us in goofing off to answer some silly questions!  Sometimes it's fun to be silly, and we all know that laughter is good medicine!! So let's have our Friday Fives again today!

1. If you could (budget not an issue!) whisk away for the weekend to anywhere in the world, where would you go?  You have to return by Sunday night so keep that in mind!

2. Do you handle changes with ease and flexibility or would you rather things stay simple and the same?

3. Do you have pets and what do you do with them when you travel?

4.  What is your favorite type of music, and do you listen to music regularly or just on occasion?

5. Let me fix you a drink...what will you have?

Enjoy the Friday Fives.......hope you'll participate!

Friday Fives!

Friday Fives are so fun, because they tell us more about one another, or sometimes just assist us in goofing off to answer some silly questions! Sometimes it's fun to be silly, and we all know that laughter is good medicine!! So let's have our Friday Fives again today!

1. The beach...preferably Beaufort NC, but any good, clean beach will do. And a boat to go out on.

2. I used to handle hanges with ease, but now I like things to stay simple and pretty much the same. However, a little spontaneity is a good thing.

3. Depends on the travel. On our trips to Florida, I board them at my vet. If I go to the beach, my dad usually takes care of them.

4. Fvorite...have 3...NC/SC beach music, country, and Jimmy Buffett! I generally only listen to music when I am in the car. Thank you XM radio!! Sometimes, I will switch on my iTunes when I am at the computer.

5. I rarely drink alcohol, so it would probably be a margarita or something fruity/beachy. Other than that, an ice cold co-cola (but make it a Diet Pepsi, please).

1. If you could (budget not an issue!) whisk away for the weekend to anywhere in the world, where would you go? You have to return by Sunday night so keep that in mind! Well I don't do well after three hours in a plane so for this weekends trip I'd head to the coast of Maine.

2. Do you handle changes with ease and flexibility or would you rather things stay simple and the same? Depends, in general I do handle change well but there are a couple of areas where I'm not terribly flexible. One of them being church services.

3. Do you have pets and what do you do with them when you travel?
I do have an old black lab named Maggie. She stays with my son when we travel.

4. What is your favorite type of music, and do you listen to music regularly or just on occasion? I don't listen to music often but when I do I'm stuck in the 60's.

5. Let me fix you a drink...what will you have? A diet coke with lemon.

1. No question: Mackinac Island!!
Only I would really like to stay longer than a weekend. Hrmph.

2. Oh good golly no. I don't handle change or stress well.

3. I do not have pets. I am terrified of most dogs, and my husband doesn't like cats. We have never been able to find a compromise pet.

4. I love a lot of different types of music. I like songs from musicals and oldies and beach music. Probably what I listen to the most is praise music though.

OK, believe it or not, it would be a cup of coffee, hazelnut if possible. I would rather drink a cup of coffee or a cold coffee drink than just about anything.

Thanks for commenting, girls...I'd love to see Mackinac myself; I've heard wonderful things about it.
Debbie, I'm with you.....love many types of coffee drinks, and do enjoy hazelnut!

Suzanne
I'll come and do mine a little later.

This is fun Suzanne!
1. Chicago (IKEA!)

2. Mostly I'm not big on change.

3. We have a cat and a dog. When we travel, the cat gets shut in the basement with a week's worth of food and water. The dog stays with a friend.

4. I like classical music and stuff like Michael Buble and Josh Groban. But I really only listen to music occasionally. Not sure why.

5. Iced vanilla coffee, with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles, please!

1. If you could (budget not an issue!) whisk away for the weekend to anywhere in the world, where would you go? You have to return by Sunday night so keep that in mind! Maybe a trip to Kansas City to go to Nell Hill's!! That sounds fun for fall!

2. Do you handle changes with ease and flexibility or would you rather things stay simple and the same? I adapt fairly easily, but I do like simple and routine most often. I like to change things up as long as they are still comfortable! :D

3. Do you have pets and what do you do with them when you travel? One dog, and a neighbor will watch him if it's not too long.

4. What is your favorite type of music, and do you listen to music regularly or just on occasion? I often listen to Christian radio when I'm in the car, but don't often think to turn music on when I'm in the house! funny, huh? i like several different kinds of music, though. Christian, some classical, easy listening, Michael Buble

5. Let me fix you a drink...what will you have? I do like coffee drinks like Debbie, but if it's after about 3:00 it's gotta be decaf. I enjoy iced tea, also, or a Sobe Lifewater.

Since I'm catching up with the girlfriends, I thought I'd play along.
1. Definitely Venice, Italy. Always wanted to go there. I would accidently/on purpose miss my flight back on Sunday night. Sorry. Ain't comin' back!
2. Depends on my mood. I can begin to see why old people don't like change so much. Some changes come easier than others.
3. Yes, Bella, the chihuahua. I try to give her away before a trip, but I always get her back afterwards. Can't figure out why...
4. Love music, especially close harmony, romantic songs, minor keys, soulful - Selah, Michael Buble, Norah Jones, Jim Brickman...
5. Water with lemon, please. Otherwise, something fruity, like a smoothie.

hmmm...and I get to leave early on Friday? :) I'd say Asheville...stay in a mountain cabin with beautiful views of the city...

2. Do you handle changes with ease and flexibility or would you rather things stay simple and the same?

a mix...little changes don't bother me...huge life changes usually require some effort

3. Do you have pets and what do you do with them when you travel?

um, yes, and what is "travel"? :)

4. What is your favorite type of music, and do you listen to music regularly or just on occasion?

I like a mix...rock, soft pop, oldies, classical, bluegrass, rap, country...

5. Let me fix you a drink...what will you have? a nice grande skim peppermint mocha, thank you very much :)

oh man...I deliberately did not read the other replies so I would not be influenced by others' answers...but now I want to change my answer for the weekend trip to Nell Hill's!!!

1. For a weekend I'd go to a resort somewhere beachy..Bahama's maybe.

2. Little changes I can handle alright but I have trouble with big changes. Mostly, keep it simple.

3. We have a yellow lab-Buddy. My husband NEVER goes away (he farms) so if I'm away, he takes care of him.

4. I only listen to music when I drive my truck. I listen to 70's soft rock. (Sirius-so no commercials)

5. I actually drink milk for every meal at home but at your house just some sweet tea is fine.

1. I would go to a mountain place near Leavenworth Washington called Pine River Ranch It is a delightful Bed and breakfast where they bring the food to our room. With a hot tub fireplace and quiet it is our favorite place to hibernate for a few days. Going into Leavenworth for a massage tops off the weekend nicely
2)I can go with the flow in many areas but, don't mess with my "traditions' I will fight that kicking and screaming : )
3) We have 1 sweet little cocker and neighbors take care of her when we are gone
4) Klove Christian radio is my fav, or sirius christian radio. Come Oct 31st however it is Christmas Music all the way( strange tradition the girls and I started long ago )
5) nonfat white mocha Americano. However on a really hot summer day, I may ask for a Margarita :)
