Setting Goals.....

How are you at setting goals? Does fear of failure prevent you from setting goals in your life?  Are you able to actually "visualize" what you'd like to see happen, or are you stymied by the fear that you won't be able to accomplish what you set out to do?

I am inspired today by a training meeting I went to for my business (Southern Living at HOME)....you'll also remember from my last post, that BIG changes are happening at SLaHOME!!! And I am having a giveaway to celebrate some of the big changes.....go here.
AND you can comment EVERY DAY this week for an entry into the giveaway in which I will give away TWO fabulous SLaHOME products!!!
I also noticed something on Facebook where True Value Hardware was asking fans to share something to complete this statement...."I WILL.................".

So I wanted to challenge you, my readers.....what would you use to complete that sentence, that goal for yourself?  Will you share it?  The first step to achieving a goal is to determine the goal, and determine some measurable steps you can take to accomplish that goal.  You want to be able to check off the step, and have it be completed.  If you can't measure the success of it, you will never meet your goal........

I also mentioned in the initial giveaway post here, that I would be revealing what I am going to be giving away on Friday.....one hint at a time.  So guess away, if you'd like to, in the comments.....!!!  And sign up by leaving a comment that includes "sign me up for the giveaway" in it!!  That is, IF YOU WANT TO WIN......please do not sign up if you do not want to win!!! :D

The hint for today is that one of the products is round and will be useful in the summertime!  Now, go leave your comment!!

Setting goals has always been hard for me. Fear of failure or not completing a goal that has a time line, I think.
I will....get my Etsy Store set up by the end of May. There, I said it. I have been saying soon for months. Now I have a time line. Thanks for the challenge, Suzanne.
I don't know if I am supposed to leave the comment here or on the other post, so I will do both.
I hope to win one of your giveaways and my guess for your hint is a Salad Bowl. Whew, did I get it all in??

I think about goals all the time and then I conveniently push them to the side out of fear of failure.

I WILL go to bed at a decent hour tonight. ;)

So excited to see what your Giveaway is!

I will spend less time on the computer when the clothes need to be folded... ugh (did I really commit to that?!?!) HA!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the sweet comment. I appreciate it!

I believe in setting goals, but just try to make them doable and realistic. My goal for the new year was to get my house organized. So far I am working away at it, but it does take time. Good luck with your goals. Love & blessings from NC!

Absolutely sign me up for your giveway!!! Oh, I have so many goals, it's not even funny! However, for today, I WILL work on learning to let go. You know, with Brittany heading off to college, it's something I'm struggling wth...and it sure isn't easy! I know you can relate!

I will work out on the total gym every evening this week.

If I write it down and make lists, I normally meet the goal.

Please enter my again for today. Still not sure if I am supposed to go back to original post to enter.
Thanks for offering the giveaway, though.

Oh Suzanne, did you write this post for me? You know how I struggle with this. I think it is a fear of failure because I just struggle with organization so much. That is really what I would like to get better at.

Giveaway? I must see what's going on now! :)

Oh, Suzanne, I am AWFUL at goal-setting. I'm pretty good at getting things done, but I'm TERRIBLE at planning. Ugh.

Maybe I need to take this on as my challenge. . . maybe I need to make my goal that I learn to set goals and plan to achieve them.

Anyway, I'm excited for you. . . I hope the changes coming at SLatHome are good ones for you!

Could it be chargers? Leave it to me to think about the table. ;)
