These ideas are all from the Southern Living at HOME convention this year.......hope you will enjoy and glean some creativity from them. You can imagine your own items in the places and just use the placement of things if you'd like.
The pictures are "clickable" to take a better look, especially at the second one so you can see all those cool balls stacked into the buckets for a delightful fall look!!!

Hi Suzanne,
So many great ideas! Thank you for sharing them with us! Makes me want a mantle in every room ... ;)

I wish I had the guts to paint my mantle pink like that. I have the white marble around it. All my woodwork is natural and I want to paint it white so bad. The natural woodwork is the thing that attracted HH to this house, which I love, so I guess I can't mess up his playhouse ideal. I wouldn't want him to do that to me. He did allow me to have the staircase redesigned. So give a little, take a little. I love all
Southern Living things.

Love all these great pics! Thanks for posting them!
Thanks for the ideas Suzanne. I love those. The ones with things hanging down were really different. I need a little inspiration!

Great mantles! I love the idea of hanging things off the mantle. I couldn't get by with that in the winter, but could in the summer months.
Oh.my.WORD the Fall decorations are too CUTE!!! I may have to try something like that in my fireplace!!! LOVE it!
Thanks so much for sharing. I love all of these mantle ideas. I might have to copy the one showing wine bottles and fall leaves in the plant stand. Too cute.
Just this morning I received an e-mail inviting me to a Southern Living party.
Hi Suzanne,
Ann has been out of ICU since Tuesday. In the last post, I wrote that she had shocked the doctors because she made the "ICU recovery" so quickly! :-) Her family was just thrilled and amazed that she wasn't in ICU for longer...they were expecting at least 3 more days! Ann is one tough cookie! :-)

Oooo, those were so cool! I loved the metal containers hanging from the fireplace instead of stockings. And how cute that there's a bottle of milk on ice just waiting for Santa! HA! My favorite by far was the 4th one down--I just love the use of flowers & candles and the colors are beautiful.
Thanks for sharing this--you give me a lot of inspiration.

Great ideas for mantles! My favorite is the bucket with the balls.
