Christmas out.....new year in....

And I'm trying to replace Christmas decor with lovely new year decor, both in my house and on my blog.....what do you think? Do you like a cute blog header or picture or do you like a cute background? Of course all these changes are DIY......I haven't yet paid to have someone design my blog. Should I go for that? I like to change a lot, so that is my hesitation. However, I don't want to change so much that I lose my identity as SouthernInspiration.....
So give me your thoughts in the comment section....should I have a signature header and blog look (like my ten readers are not going to recognize me if I change it?! ;)

Should I change it with the seasons? What do you do with your blog? I changed it with the templates found at The Cutest Blog on the Block, and you can, too....it is simple, especially considering that I did it in just a few minutes. Shall we have a "new dress" party????

It's hard to believe that I only started this blog this year....it feels comfortable like I've had it going for a longer period of time. And some of you also mentioned that you only started this year. Gee, time flies when we are having so much fun, doesn't it?
Anyway, Happy New Year and "say yes to the dress" by getting a new non-holidayish look! Join me, won't you?

I love the pattern! But the dark type is a little hard to read. Keep playing around :-)
I vote for you to find a look and stick with it. You always have so many interesting pictures that I don't worry about things getting dull.
Hugs,
Renee

Hey neighbor! I love the new blog design. I'm a big fan of paisleys too. To answer your question, yes, I did do my header in my Creative Memories digital scrapbooking program. It was pretty easy and the papers and embellishments I used are all freebies. I'm a fan of the freebie, that's for sure. I too worry about always changing my blog and losing my identity, so I'm struggling with that a little bit because I do like to change it.

The white type on your dark background is easy to read.

Hi, Suzanne ...

Thanks for your nice comments about my blog designs. I do them myself with Photoshop Elements 7, and use pictures or designs I find online and edit them, or use my own pictures, like the template currently on my blog.

I love to experiment and change it regularly ... depending on the season or my mood.

The designs on "The Cutest Blog on the Block" are very nice and I like the one you chose.

Sincerely,

Janie

Renee and Jill commented before I changed to this design...so they are not going crazy. There was indeed a paisley before this one! I am liking this one better.

Happy New Year, Suzanne! I really like your new look! I love the pattern and the color of your new background. I do think it's fun to change seasonally too, but maybe that's just me. I must get going on making mine more presentable.
Blogging really is fun, isn't it? I'm glad you and Cathy talked me into it!

Good morning, I like your new blog dress.. I changed mine 3 times yesterday until I settled on the one I have up for now...lol.. I like to be able to change on a whim. I've discovered over these past few months if nothing else I must stay true to myself..I can be easily swayed into liking so many of the other designs, but alas it wasn't me..So..if I can offer any advice..stay true to your own heart. You have a beautiful blog..isn't it just plain "fun" to be able to change on a whim.. I hope your health issues are getting better.. I wish nothing but good things for you in 2009.. I'll put you on my prayer list..hugs ~lynne~

No, I was messing around with my profile. I would love to help you create you own personal look! Designing is one of my most favorite things to do with my blog. Let me know...and we can comunicated by email about ideas and I can send you samples!
