Resurrection Cookies or Forgotten Cookies

Well, since I told you all about the egg dyeing here, I also wanted to make sure you knew how to make these "resurrection" cookies in case you wanted to use as an object lesson for your children. It's a fun project, and one that teaches the true reason for Easter. You could do them ahead of time as you begin to talk about what Easter really means. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you can print it off, but in case you can't read it, I'd be glad to email it to you as well.
I'm a little sad that my children are too old (and busy) to do these kinds of home projects any longer....so let me know how you use them and your stories of your children's responses. One day soon I"ll be a Grammy and do these things with my grands.....

My neighbor makes those and they always make her home smell so special at this time of year. maybe I'll ask if i can come over when she makes her next batch and help. In that way I can share in the special meaning too..
have a "Sonny" Day~!

Oooo, I had read about these years ago and never made them. But now Bug is old enough that we could make them together! Fun! Thanks for reminding me--she loves to learn about Jesus and bake, so this will be right up her alley.

I have enjoyed making these with my boys over the years. Yours look great! I don't remember mine coming out that uniform looking...hmmmm. Maybe I should look over YOUR recipe and see if there's a difference...

Great reminder! Thanks!

I used to love to make resurrection cookies when my girls were young, but I have not made them in many years. Thanks for sharing. Many with young children will love making them. Love & blessings from NC!

Very cool!! I wish my mom and MIL weren't so busy. They don't do stuff like this with my girls very often. :(

My great grandma used to make these. It's been forever since I've had one.
