Friday Fives.....

thought I'd take a few minutes to play a fun little game some friends and I do from time to time......on Fridays, we pose five "quick-to-answer" questions to get to know each other just a little better......so I thought it would be fun to pose some questions to you, my blogging friends!
I've been away for a little bit, focusing on a few things that are coming up....mainly a Ladies Retreat that I am in charge of , and secondly, shopping with my daughter for some clothes she needs for a few college "interviews". That is ONE job I will be glad to be finished with!!! Mercy!

Anyway on to our Friday fives....please take a second to leave your answers in the comments, so we can all get to know one another a little better.

1.Coffee or tea...which do you prefer?

2.Favorite hobby?

3.If you were given an all expense paid trip, where would you like to go? To an island or to the mountains?

4.You are given eight hours to spend on yourself--what will you use it for?

5. If you could redo/redecorate any room in your house, which would you choose first?

You can copy and paste the questions in the comment box if you want.....I'm all for easy!

Thanks for being such great bloggy friends!!! Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend!

1. Sweet ice tea. I drink tea 365 days a year. I am a true Southern gal. I also like hot tea. Although I love the smell of coffee brewing, I have never acquired a taste for it.
2. My favorite hobby is quilting. I love to sew and make quilts. I also love to knit and scrapbook.
3. Although I love the mountains and my sister lives there, I would choose time on an island. I love the beach and warm weather.
4. If I were given 8 hours to spend on myself I would choose to spend it with my 2 girls. Getting manicures/pedicures, eating lunch, shopping for Lilly, going to Barnes & Noble, talking and laughing!!!
5. If I could redo any room in my house it would be my kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home and I LOVE to cook. I would enjoy having an updated and modern kitchen.

I loved your post and decided to share it with my readers today too. It is always so much fun to learn new things about each other. Have a wonderful day!

3.If you were given an all expense paid trip, where would you like to go? To an island or to the mountains? GIve me a tropical island.

4.You are given eight hours to spend on yourself--what will you use it for? blogging takes up SO much of my time, but when I'm out, I love to browse a flea market.

5. If you could redo/redecorate any room in your house, which would you choose first? Master bath, I'd get rid of my all white tile. But, it ain't gonna happen, so I make the best of it!

On those glass containers, I'm not sure which store she got those at, but probably Belks (they were running some specials) & Walmart has those sets, as well as all the home stores, like Bed Bath & Beyond. You shouldn't have any problem finding them. I think I'm going to really love mine!

I'm such a sucker for quizzes and questionaires--I'm a consumer surveyors dream:

1.Coffee or tea...which do you prefer? I like tea, but prefer coffee.

2.Favorite hobby? Right now it's blogging, but also travelling.

3.If you were given an all expense paid trip, where would you like to go? To an island or to the mountains? I'm not much of a sunny beach guy-- definitely the mountains.

4.You are given eight hours to spend on yourself--what will you use it for? Hmmm--I already have that, but I like being on the computer, reading, watching movies. A nice hike would be nice too, but not for eight hours.

5. If you could redo/redecorate any room in your house, which would you choose first? I'm pretty content with the way the house is, but I wouldn't mind adding on a wing with a family room and a library.

Thanks

1.Coffee with French Vanilla Coffee Mate and Sweet & Low . . . hey, it's gotta be right!

2.Probably decorating with great junque finds -- I'm the Queen of Cheap!

3.Well . . . this is a tough one . . . Probably the mountains where I could sit around and write and do some reading and just hang out and RELAX.

4. If someone were footin' the bill, I'd get a massage, have my toes done, have somethin' done to my hair (gosh, does someone have the number for Tabitha?), and then hit up some thrift stores just to round out the day. If no fairy godmother to pick up the tab, then I'd spend the morning hitting some thrift stores and garage sales, go home and play with any goodies I'd found, then curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book and read for the rest of the afternoon.

5. The home office St. MIchael and I share. We desperately need some organization! (Again, where's my fairy godmother to wave that want and *poof* me some shelving and new office furniture?! I wish that ol' gal would show up! Lol!)

Love your blog, girlfriend! And thanks for visiting me over at mine!

Grins!

How fun Susan! Hope all is well!

1.Coffee or tea...which do you prefer? Sweet Tea cause I am a southern gal ya know!;) Actually I was born on the mason dixon line so I can claim either or. If it has to be a hot beverage I guess coffee but only in the capaccino form.

2.Favorite hobby? I love to do all things crafty. Sewing, tassel making, furniture redos, decorating. I love shopping for house stuff. Bargain shopper alert here.

3.If you were given an all expense paid trip, where would you like to go? To an island or to the mountains? Whichever had the best Target, HobLob, and HomeGoods!;) Hopefully that would be somewhere tropical.

4.You are given eight hours to spend on yourself--what will you use it for? With two little ones I would say first and foremost a nap would be in order then a day filled with shopping and crafting and some blogging.

5. If you could redo/redecorate any room in your house, which would you choose first? Total redo would be the kitchen. Mine is a bit on the dark side though very nice not what I would have chosen. If we are talking non tear down I would love to have my sewing/hobby room done.

Just a little something from Judy said...

1. Always coffee. It is my favorite drink.
2. Having people in for dinner, brunch or coffee, creating, decorating and reading.
3. The mountains, specifically the ranch that my BIL manages in the Rocky Mountains. It's huge stone fireplace is the perfect place to curl up with my coffee and a good book, while starring out the windows at the mountains.
4. I'd visit Borders, have coffee with good friends or new friends at Panera, visit newly discovered Craft stores, blog or visit many different blogs, and do a good workout.
5.Definitely my dining room. I do not like the wallpaper that is ten years old. I would tear it off, paint it a soft, warm color and try to find a beautiful antique crystal chandelier for over the table.

This was fun. Made me think about things I don't often have time to think about. Thanks!
