Anyone at your house excited about the Super Bowl????

I do know a few around here that might be.....I can take it or leave it actually.....so I'll be in charge of snacks.  I'll probably be checking/catching up with blogs while everyone else watches the game.
I thought I'd brain storm about some snacks my family likes and share a few recipes.
I know my husband would love some crab dip!  It has cream cheese, though, and he's been trying to avoid cheese/dairy.  I did get some garlic hummus he can have with crackers, and since he loves garlic, he will enjoy this!  I will also make a platter of ham sandwiches for everyone to nosh on....or maybe some sliders.
I am toying with making the Symphony Brownies.....anyone had these before??  I just don't know if having a pan full of those would be a good idea, ya know?  I wish I could send each of you one so you could try them and I would have much fewer here!! LOL.
So I really need to give you that recipe, I suppose.......well, you can find one version of this recipe here ....you will want to thank me, but then you won't be sure you should thank me......;D

So what are some snacks your family likes for game night????/

Hi Suzanne. We have good friends that we get together with almost every weekend. One of the friends makes the Symphony brownies every now and then. Oh mercy!! They are so wonderful when they are hot. You can't eat a ton because they are incredibly rich. Hate to even think about the calories. :)

I understand the brownie dilemma!

We like meatballs, baked brie...really now that I think of it Superbowl Sunday is not a day of super healthy eating.

We love football at our house. Unfortunately, our daughter has a gymnastics meet that night (what were they thinkin'?)
Can't wait to see Tim Tebow's pro-life commercial, too.
Have fun.

We are all excited about the Super Bowl at my house. I actually like football so I watch every minute. Those brownies look so good....I checked out the recipe. No wonder they are good. I know my hubby would love them! Thanks for the link!

I am the queen of snacks :) I love the finger foods just as much as the football game. OK, more than the football game.

I like the commercials, unless a team I really like is playing, and then I pay attention.

Dips are always good, bread sticks, veggies and dip....

Symphony brownies? Gotta check that out.

I need to get thinking about Super Bowl snacks. . . we're having a party. Maybe you could come here and organize things for me. Okay?

I know New Orleans is close to y'all, but we are such Peyton Manning fans--so we're excited about the game!

I too can take them or leave them, but I watch them because my hubby likes me to. Sometimes the kids come over and watch with us, so there always has to be snacks involved!
Hugs,
Tara

I love watching the Super Bowl to see the commercials. I enjoy football, but I don't have a favorite team this year. I agree with Joyce, Super Bowl food is not that healthy as a general rule. Thanks for the brownie recipe. Sounds yummy! Love & blessings from NC!

Will the brownies help guaranteed that our team will win? Love to have the recipe. We always look forward to Super Bowl evening. Taco Pie is the food of choice for our group, but the brownies will work too.

Crab dip is a favorite around here. I had appetizer night last Friday and made it and spinach dip (gotta have some veggies) & chicken fingers.
We'll probably watch some of the Super Bowl but we're not that into the game.

Hi Suzanne, I love Symphony Brownies! I make them often, to carry out to functions. They are always a hit, and so very easy to make!

Hope you enjoy the Super Bowl. Sounds like the snacks will be good at your house! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
