We interrupt this program to tell you....

It's snowing here in Houston TX....this is neaux faux sneaux, Y'all......it's the real thing. Mark it down in the books as the earliest we've ever gotten the few times of snow in history! It is mixed with rain, but it is so fun to look outside and see snow flakes!!! And the children are still in school, missing it. I hope they get out soon before the roads get bad. Our high is only supposed to be around 38...this is REAL winter for us. Granted it won't look like the above picture, but for us, it's fun.....I know you that have feet of snow will chuckle at us, but hey, we're excited....

And I'm only ten posts away from hitting 300 posts.....wow, what an accomplishment......so I'm going to have a giveaway soon to celebrate....I'm working on what will be in it. It's going to be a "sit by the fire and relax" kind of giveaway, so stay tuned. Right now, I'm working on the garland around the front door, but I'll be back with some pics hopefully of my simple Christmas decor. Have a good day, and enjoy .

I knew you were in Texas but didn't realize Houston. We almost wound up there many years ago with the petroleum transportation co hubby works for. Beautiful brick homes with beautiful neighborhoods.

I love snow!

How fun!! I love snow, but we never get it here. We have to drive an hour or two to enjoy a good snow day. I hope you stay warm and cozy and enjoy this wonderful winter day!

I heard that on the news and thought about you. Enjoy the winter wonderland. Hopefully the kids will get out of school so they can enjoy it!

You are so cute, we do sound like little sissies in Texas when it snows but that is because we aren't equipped for it... no salt, no snow chains, noone to remove the snow off the roads and no one knows how to drive in it. Right?

my BFF sent me a text with a picture of her back yard. It was white. I told her I was jealous. She lives in Houston too.

Nothing like snow to get you in the holiday mood! :)

Because we get snow, and it seems once it starts we have it for months, I could go all winter without it. I'm glad you're getting some though. Enjoy it! It is pretty.

Hi Suzanne. :) I am over near Austin this weekend at my dad's. When I was at Love Field the Southwest planes were running late because of deicing in Houston. I'm glad y'all are having a little snowy fun. So far, none for us but it will come. We usually get a pretty good snow in OKC two or three times per winter. No school! I love having a real excuse to just slow down.

Have a great weekend!

Saw where it was snowing in Houston. I have not talked to my son. I don't know if it is snowing in Austin or not. Enjoy it.

Get out!!!! It is NOT snowing in Texas! It can't be. It's like 176 degrees there or something, isn't it? Don't lie, Girlfriend.

I'm jealous! I'm in the same town in NE Texas as Debbie and we haven't seen anything. Not even a flurry! I would love to see some snow this year. Would love a Snow Day!
Congrats on the almost 300 posts. WOW....

Been hearing about y'all's snow on the news! I'm on vacation in Georgia and it's cold, but no snow...that's fine with me, 'cuz I don't want to get grounded. {you know how Southerners are when it snows--everything closes}!
