My new best friend.....

I made a new purchase this past weekend........I bought a Shark.
Well, not the kind that swims, rather one that takes care of the dog hair it seems we were swimming IN.  Ever since my son brought Lucie (the mad dog) home, we are feeling like we are constantly fighting the dog hair takeover.  It gets EVERYWHERE.  We now own stock in lint rollers and refills from the sheer number of purchases of those items.  I need a volume discount. But let's not be whiners.....:D

So we were looking at vacuum cleaners, and I seriously considered forking over the money for a DYSON, the kingpin of animal hair removal devices!  After some investigation, my husband and I found this one and we decided it was worth a try.  Now, realize that I am not paid or anyway being rewarded by those people at Shark.  This is just a  good-hearted referral for a product I've found that does an excellent job. You will be amazed at the suction power of this machine!!!!  The Shark Automatic picked up so much dog hair and dirt, I was almost embarrassed.....and no, I am not going to show you the piles of hair vacuumed off of my rugs and carpet.  Suffice it to say, we should be breathing a whole lot easier today!  It costs about $175 at the local discount store......retail says about $200.  BEST money ever spent.  Now, we will see if it holds up it's end of the bargain over months of using it, but for now, I am sold......doesn't cost $500 AND does a good job.  I actually look forward to vacumming, to see how much dirt and dog hair I can conquer!!!  Well, almost.

If it makes you WANT to vacuum, it's GOT to be good! Maybe I need one. :-) Have a good day!

Oh how great that your found that. Dog hairs are aggravation but we love the dog. I was catching up on your past posts and the previous one is very inspiring. The mosaic of hands is very thought provoking. You did a great job on relaying to us your thoughts from your ladies group. I am attending mine today and we are studying how we each life the Gospel in real life. Blessings

I feel like I go through vacuums like I go through underwear!! This sounds like a great recommendation because not only do we have pet hair but we have crumbs galore. :o)

We have 1 dog and 2 cats and the hair is terrible. The problem is these animals grab our hearts and then they start to shed!! We are going to all wood/ceramic flooring. If ya can't beat 'em ya have to find a happy medium. HA!

Happy to hear you like this product. I'm shopping myself for one. Do you know if it works well on wood or tile or vinyl floors as well as carpet? That's the one thing I'm looking for.
Thanks,
Lisa

Sounds like something I may need to invest in. Thanks for the recommendation.

A good vacuum is always worth it. I wish we'd shelled out more $$ for a better one. But it does a better job of its predecessor, so I can't complain too much. ;)

I've not heard of Shark. Thank you for the recommendation! We've look at the big bad Dyson too, and can't bring ourselves to shell out the money for it. We have two dogs and desperately need to upgrade our vacumn. I will DEFINITELY be checking out the Shark.

My daughter and her husband have a dog. I am going to pass this info on to her. I always wondered how they work? Thanks for this recommendation. I learn many fascinating things from your blog.

We had a dog that shed real bad, so I would get pretty excited over vacuums too. That's not a bad price either!

Still making my rounds from Friday Follow. :)

I have a smaller version of the Shark vacuum cleaner and I love mine. It is so light for going up and down stairs and mine is one that you charge before using (therefore it doesn't have a cord). Glad you are enjoying yours. Love & blessings from NC!
