Saturday report....

Hey look, no piles......ok, this is NOT my house, and these are NOT my floors, but it is a fabulous illustration of the removal of piles, is it not??? LOL.....
my efforts were somewhat successful, although a few of you bemoaned the fact that I made you feel guilty in my zealous efforts!!! I tackled everything but my office (next week!) and the tile floors. I need to scrub the kitchen floor but I have delayed it because I may have to
build one of these instead.....

it is raining folks.....I mean really raining. And we are going on a road trip....It is parent's weekend at my son's college and we are going for the afternoon. We may need this to make our return! So have a great day and enjoy whatever you are doing. At this rate the one good thing all this rain will do for me is to make the ground soft so that all the weeds I need to pull out of my flowerbeds this coming week....will be a cinch. Yes, that's a positive spin, wouldn't you say???

We are getting the rain on Sunday, so I have been outside this afternoon finishing up some yard work. After all the rain we have had, the weeds are coming up easily. There is always something to do when you have a house, isn't there? Have a great time with your son, despite the rain. It will be fun to see him!
Have a nice weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

Anyone who can make progress tackling piles of things is a Domestic Goddess in my eyes. If you would like to make a trip to the wilds of northern New Jersey, I've got a couple of rooms here at That Old House -- my daughter's bedroom and studio -- that are the Mothers of all piles, and you could be the Good Fairy and wave your magic wand!

Thank you so much for your comment on my Friday post about being stuck in a staging rut. I like your idea of taking one room and just EMPTYING the rest of the boxes, etc., and deciding once and for all what goes where. Of course, I might end up making more piles... hmm... better think this one over! :-)
Best wishes! Cass

I trust you had a very good time with your son for this special weekend! WE had rain too and wind. Did I say really, really windy????? So windy I don't want to go out to plant let alone pull weeds.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...we could be sisters. I'm frantically tossing papers and trying to make my house look presentable. A customer/friend is stopping by and I'd like to invite her to stay for coffee or tea! gotta run......
