Hooked on a good read!!!!

Many of you are familiar with Southern Lady Magazine, published by Hoffman Publications, right?
Well, I recently came across a new publication by the publishers of Southern Lady....a seasonal magazine that is chockful of inspirational photos and articles......It's called Celebrate Spring, by Phyllis Hoffman. Oh, it's so pretty. Now I don't know Phyllis and she didn't write me and ask me to plug her new magazine.....but I just thought I would tell ya'll about it. I found it at Sam's, and the photography is oh.so.pretty. It has ideas for all kinds of celebrations for the spring time. It makes me want to host a party just to use some of the ideas!!! It contains menus, decorations, party ideas for Mother's Day, Cinco De Mayo, St Patrick's Day, showers, weddings and more.

If you get the chance, check it out!!! I'm hooked on this magazine. Go check out what others are hooked on by going to Julia's Hooked on Houses blog today. That's a fun read, too!

Oh don't worry you can't go to New Orleans and not have fun or gain a pound or two. I just love Southern Lady. I will have to pick up the new one. Have you read Tea Time? I buy them and have yet to make anything out of them. The pictures are great. Do you hang on to them as well? I have a hard time sharing, I'll let coworkers look at them, but tell them I need it back.

I love all the Phyllis Hoffman publications and I just found the Spring Celebrations mag at my grocery store. I see that there is one planned for summer also. I save all these magazines and I don't share them with anyone. All Other magazines are sharable and discardable! I like to go back each season and pull out the old issues to browse through.
Warm regards,
Wendy

Oh! Such inspiration, Suzanne! Thanks for this magazine name. I will definitely look for it. I am not a member of Sam's but maybe I can find it at Borders.

Enjoy your Friday!

This Northern Lady will have to check out Southern Lady, and Phyllis Hoffman!

And since you asked.... I got the $1.00 a yard toile at WalMart, of all places. The other fabrics I ordered from fabricguru.com == an amazing resource for deeply discounted "name brand" fabrics. You can order swatches, too. The Greef/Schumacher fabric, the oriental toile, cost me less than $4.00 a yard. I love cheap. :-)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Oops! I meant the Baker toile was less than $4 a yard. The Schumacher/Greef print was about $6. Cass

Wish I got that magazine here in Ohio, but I haven't seen it before. I really want to read that article they mention on "Behind the Scenes of Gone With the Wind"--one of my favorite movies. In fact, I'm working on a post about the houses in it.

Thanks for joining my party today! Have a great weekend! :-)

I love Southern Lady. It's one of my top 3 magazines. Southern Living and Traditional Home are my other two.

I saw this magazine at Sam's last night and it is full of gorgeous pictures. I was too cheap to buy it because it was $7.99. The sign says 30% or more off magazine prices. Do you remember if you got 30% off or was it more?

I found your blog through another great blog and I have signed up to be a follower. We have a lot in common and I will enjoy reading your blog. My Mom is from Texas, so I have spent a lot of time there. In fact, I flew down in October to visit a dear friend in Houston. We had fun one day shopping at Old Town Springs. I also took a quilting class while I was there. Love & blessings from NC!
