Thinking outside the box.....

You may or may not know about me that I delight in "thinking outside the box", especially when it comes to decorating. I love to hear how others have taken an object and used it creatively and in a way that is whimsical and creative. You know, something that an "uninspired" person would not come up with!!! It may or may not include finding something at a thrift store or garage sale, and re-purposing it to put your own stamp on it, and make it work for you. It might be a great way to use a beautiful object (of course for me, Southern Living at HOME objects come to mind!) that has not yet been discovered by someone else. OR it could always mean taking someone else's idea and running with it, coming up with what works for you. (Isn't that marketed as creative license-ing)? Some ideas immediately come to mind, and the creativity of these ideas just blow me away. For instance, at our annual convention, the oh so creative minds that work for our company take a ballroom, and transform it into a product showcase. They think of THE. MOST. CLEVER. things. Let me give you an example..... Take the SLaHOME Rhodes Park Garden Trellis. One immediately thinks of the garden, with a lovely vine crawling up, gorgeous blooms cascading down......sipping tea in the garden while the birds sing.....oh, yes, the other idea for this great product. Would you believe our oh so creative designers have purposed it for something else? Take a look!
A lovely room divider, made out of a GARDEN TRELLIS? Why, yes, thankyouverymuch! Or a VALET made out of a garden trellis/room divider? Why yes, indeed! Hopefully, you'll be moseying back here for another addition of "thinking outside the box"........until then, be inspired! Have a great day!

Thinking outside the box, coloring outside the lines ... I love it all! :) Great idea to have the room divider made from the trellis - but those robe valets are something I would have never thought of!
