Whew.............

The Open House is over and I am ready for a break......unfortunately, I cannot take much of one, as I have a million other things to do. BUT, the pressure to have everything done for the party is off, and I am relieved. It was a fun party, with lots of visiting and friends who came by, although I would have liked to have more traffic coming through. My dining room was set up like a store, and actually still is! I have to put all of that away......but not at the moment! :)
I have accumulated many things and got rid of some, but still have way too much that I don't want to put away. If there is something in the pics you are interested in, please let me know....we can strike a deal perhaps! Or if you'd like a typed list of what is still available, I can email it to you. This is not pics of everything, there's more. I have a stack of books, too available. I'll post more pics of what is available tomorrow.

The food all turned out wonderfully, and my dear friend Barbara was here all day helping me in the kitchen. She is such a great sport about helping, and a gracious hostess as well. I loved the way the set up worked this year. I had all the eats and drinks set up in the kitchen rather than the dining room and the "store-front" set up in the dining room. In previous years, I had the reverse, but this seemed to work better. So I was very pleased with that. The food table looked beautiful and the food was all good. Hmmm, lots left though, but I cannot seem to scale back enough--perhaps its in my genes to prepare to feed an army! My stepfather is like that, too, and always makes enough food to feed the multitudes.
So I took lots of pics to share...hope you don't get bored, but I'll share. It was a fun time, and I wished each of you could have been here. So maybe you'll get a feel for how things were through looking at the pics. Enjoy. Oh, and I'll share more of the recipes tomorrow.

Suzanne, it sounds like your open house was a huge success. Everything was so nicely displayed, and your food table looked wonderful all decked out in fall colors.

I hope you can take some time to catch your breath before you tackle putting stuff away. That was quite an undertaking.

You seem like the perfect person to be hosting these parties. Each picture is filled with beautiful things. No wonder your friends enjoy your parties. Just from my visits to this blog, I know you would do great in sales.

Congratulations on a great party.

So much fun and sooo much trouble to get in to!;) You sold me on the frames you had for $15 a piece. Somebody on the local yardsale site has the set of three for just $15. Gotta have um!
